not happy, jan!
i discovered today that the rent has been debited from my bank account twice this week, royally screwing me into the dark end of the overdraft. the dickhead from the estate agency finally called me back after 6pm to say sorry, but tough - not much we can do until the accounts people are in the office next tuesday. fuckers. it is not the first time they have screwed the rent payments up. serious consideration now being given to moving on. i think i have lived here long enough.

Ouch! How terribly unefficient. You may be able to charge them for all the overdraft charges your account incurs (says one who has worked for a bank before).
That really sucks.
If they keep doing that why don't you just open an account where they only draw the rent from and only keep enough for one rent in it at a time?

change is good. i'm a big advocate of it.
but while you are at it, make sure they cough up for the overdraft charges. why should you be on the hook for something they screwed up!

Yikes !! that's bad.Make sure they fix it asap and also refund any bank charges.I've been caught like that and it's painful to say the least.
