win some, lose some
the singapore trip winner was announced today. it was not me. the honest truth, i did not want to win. the idea of 4 days in singapore is lovely but the reality of spending 4 days with people i don't know, having to meet & greet and socialise, scared me to death. it would cause me serious grief and stress to not be able to finish my day as i always do - coming home to my little nest and letting all the defenses down. i think i would have been sent home in a strait-jacket after the 2nd day...on the other hand, i got a payrise. a very nice surprise. nothing huge, but when it comes to payrises, something is always better than nothing.
...and i saved $180 by not renewing my passport!
the flu vaccine has made my arm ache, so i'm off to the couch.
talk amongst yourselves :)
