the mardi gras fair was on today and doggie rescue had a stall there. i went with lorraine, one of the doggierescue volunteers. we sold some raffle tickets and some little toy dogs. it was a lovely day out, lots of dogs, a little bit of sunburn and lots of fun things to see. this little baby is amy, one of our rescue dogs. she dressed up in her finest mardi gras outfit and barked with happiness.later in the afternoon, i had coffee with miss e. she has been down in melbourne for the last few days and bought back the cutest gift for me :) yeah, i'll say it again, everybody should have friend as fabulous as her!
the afternoon was spent doing some semi-serious housework. i managed to get all the hair monsters off the carpet and ran the hoover over it and it looks fabulous for the first time in ages!

sounds like a great day and for such a worthy cause too. we worked today from 7am to just past our lunch break, then got a "leave early". we like those. we did a little bit of housework, and now it is time for a nap. enjoy the rest of your day.
A great day out at the Doggie Rescue Mardi Gras Stall. Thanks for sharing it! Cute pic too.
Wow... the 'semi-serious housework' sounds ominous and just plain scary! Carpet hair monsters? They keep breeding in our place, no matter how much we vac or sweep or just plain rub our shoes along the floor to grab 'em up!!! Gagh!!!

That is such a fun photo! Cute doggie!! It sounds like you had a good time. I hope all is well with you... sorry I've been a stranger; hopefully I'll have a little more time this term to catch up. I miss talking with you!
