oh, grow up

thank you for letting my 8 year old self come out and chuck a wee tantrum... she very much appreciates your kind words and suggestions. the adult 44 year old (eek!) susan is back and she also appreciates the same.

nisi, just because of my lifelong restlessness, i have been thinking of moving house but as long as i am renting, the chance of being allowed to have a dog is pretty minimal. my lease has been expired for over 4 years, so i could move with a months notice but i really don't know that i want to do that - the cost & the stress would do my head in.

thank you suzi, i checked out the link to doggierescue - i cried some more at the stories of the poor doggies who need some love in their lives. it is closer and more accessable by public transport so i'm thinking i might visit tomorrow for some puppy love :) the clean house policy is still in force - a load of washing and the day is mine :)

because the clean house policy now allows visits, miss e came over last night. we drank pink champagne and a bottle of sauvignon blanc, ate cheese with quince paste on crackers and scoffed cheese & bacon balls - yum. we gossiped and giggled like school girls and we discussed our mutual ordeal of the lack of self worth and cried our eyes out. you're probably bored with this sentence but every being on this planet should be as blessed as i am to have a friend like her. today we had a girly bonding shopping trip to eastgardens. miss e was so impressed with my christmas beanbag, she had to get one for herself. i bought a nice casual jacket and a pretty purple cardigan for the cooler weather that i hope to be welcoming soon.

btw, viggo mortensen did turn up at the preview on monday. he did a brief introduction and was then whisked off somewhere by the cinema staff. i took a few pictures but the spotlight on him was in an odd position so his head is missing and because my camera is crap at taking photos beyond a very close range, they are not worth publishing for your pleasure. the movie was a bit confusing - it is billed as a thriller/drama but people were cacking themselves laughing at things that i thought were not that funny. despite not wearing his lotr outfit, mr mortensen is pretty damned cute and maria bello is one lucky woman - their steamy scenes were pretty hot...

Mmmm, Viggo.... :-D Crap photos are better than nothing LOL

A place where you can get a dog would be wonderful, I hope it works out for you. Changes for the better are what you probably need.

The 8 year old is welcome to blog any time she needs to.

*BIG HUGS*

ah susan, good for you on looking for new solutions. and good for you on the "clean house" rule. I think you touched on a key element for Depressed folks to remember.

A headless Viggo. Hmmm. Glad you got to see him! I didn't see the movie, but friends did, and they said there were some very hot moments in it!
