laughing so hard, that i could not breathe
it is amazing how simple things can make a difference. doing some housework and getting out and about has improved my mood and my outlook on life immensely. i just have to work on maintaining the activity and therefore the feelings...friday night: took miss e along to see billy connolly (at $100 a ticket, i give thanks to my employer) - he is such a funny, funny man. the show was meant to go for 2 hours but after he first said he would wind it up, he just kept talking. it was more than an hour before he finished. he did a one-man opera that was sooooo funny, i was laughing so hard, that i could not breathe.
saturday: i finally attacked the housework. i have been extraordinarily slack in that department for a long time. the lack of housework sets off a cycle of 'i can't go out, i have to do the housework' which leads to 'i have not done the housework, so i cannot go out', along with 'i cannot have anyone visit me, i can't allow them to see the mess of this place' which goes hand-in-hand with 'i would rather be alone, if i don't do the housework, i won't allow anyone to visit'. i knew that if i did not do it this weekend, it would never happen and the blahs would win. bugger you, blahs!! i won!
today: had vietnamese lunch with harryo and then we did a spot of bowling - the first time in over 12 months for both of us. i managed 104, 119 & 109 and the first frame of the first game was a strike. i've still got it :) after bowling, we went to watch match point. i have to admit that i had a wee nap about half way in. i enjoyed the bits i saw but just could not keep my eyes open...
tomorrow night, miss e and i are going to see a preview of a history of violence, courtesy of filmink. rumour has it that viggo mortensen will be there to introduce the film *swoon* i wonder if he might wear his aragorn outfit...

woohoo! What a great weekend you've had. We want the description of Viggo!
hellooooooo viggo!
man that guy is a fox. i know, i know, twice my age but whatever. he certainly has the swoon power in him. and hurrah housework- i'm an obsessive cleaner myself. i seriously think i have a disorder. [i scrub the banister on a weekly basis....seriously]
if it happens, there will be a full report (and i'm taking my camera, just in case...) it is only a rumour but i know that he is here in oz, so there is very good chance.
megs, despite never liking housework, i used to get it done because i had to. i think that the lack of housework has now become one of my (many) barriers against the world.
*gasp*! maybe he'll whip out his sword!
also ADORE BILLY CONNOLLY. LOVE LOVE LOVE. sigh.
What a great weekend.I have a similar problem /issue with housework which then turns into a circular case of the Blahs .Making myself do it short circuits a lot of blahness.making yourself do things is the key I think.Have a great week
Wow, your week sounds a lot more fun than mine! I know mine is some what boring.
Anyway, did you have fun with Aragorn/Viggo? *lol*
