win some mark II
Winners are grinners :) i have previously blogged about my attempts to win a prize in the earlybird quiz and have a chat with my favourite radio voice. it is a five question quiz, based on news stories in the previous 24 hours. well, today was the day. i called up and managed to get through but it was too early, so as soon as they said to call in for the quiz, i hit the redial. i did not get through until the 3rd question. i knew the answer to 1st question and had no idea on the 2nd. the 1st caller got questions 1 & 2 right and both the 1st and 2nd callers got question 3 wrong and i was so hoping i would be next - it must have been my lucky day! i blitzed question 3 & 4 and i had no idea about question 5 but took a wild guess and got it right. the prize?? a double pass to this. not really my style but i know he is a talented young man and a freebie is a freebie. the sticky part is... the tickets are for opening night on april 21st and i've already got tickets to see this guy @newtown... i'm waiting on the marketing department of the radio station to call me back tomorrow. i had a brief chat with them today and they may be able to give me tickets for an alternative date or tickets to see something else. either way, i'm a happy camper today :)many thanks to mandarin meg for the drop cap!

i wish i had heard me too... last time i heard my self on the radio, i sounded like a man. a man with a very weird voice...

Congratulations on the prize! I miss that radio voice we have Adam Spencer now but we are too set in our ways to change to a dreaded "commercial" station.
